MacOS X
The MacOS X is the newest version of the Macintosh operating system, version 10. It is based on the Mach kernal originally developed at Carnegie Mellon University
mailing list
A list of e-mail addresses grouped together under a single name. Any e-mail sent to the mailing list address is automatically forwarded to all the addresses (the subscribers) on the list. Mailing lists are used to share information between people with common interests.
Majordomo
An very popular automated mailing list server.
Mbps
stands for megabits per second and is a measure of bandwidth. Mbps is also short for millions of bits per second, as opposed to Kbps, which is thousands of bits per second.
META tag
Hidden HTML code that contains information about a Web page, such as who created the page, what the page is about, and which keywords best describe the page's content. Some search engines use this information to list Web pages.
MIDI
Musical Instrument Digital Interface: A computerized music file, often used on Web pages.
